Acne Clearing Program

New Client

Prior to your appointment with our Clinic:

  • Please discontinue using any topical prescriptions prescribed for your acne for two weeks prior to your appointment with us.
  • For Accutane users, you must be off Accutane for three months prior to us seeing you in our clinic.
  • We do use benzoyl peroxide in our program. Very few people are allergic to BPO but if you have a known allergy we cannot treat you.

What to expect during your Consultation:

  • Acne Consultation with treatment: 1 hours, $100  It is standard business practice to hold your appointment with a credit card number. We want to know that you are as serious as we are about helping you have clear skin. * This is also the route we use to treat red marks and pigmented acne scarring.
  • Your new client consultation will cost $100.  In addition, you will purchase your homecare products which will be approximately $160-$180 (approx.8 weeks worth of product.)  These products are an essential part of getting your skin clear and acne under control.  We do not offer a program without homecare product purchase.
  • During your initial consultation, we will review your acne history.  What you are currently using as your home care routine and what you have used in the past for your acne will be important for us to know.
  • Based on our analysis of your skin and acne history we will create a homecare routine for you.  You will be thoroughly educated on how and when to use each step of your routine.
  • We will review and discuss any acne triggers or lifestyle changes which we feel you may need to make to get your skin clear. We feel that it’s important to treat your acne from the inside out.
  • Following your consultation, we will set up a two to three-week follow-up appointment.  These types of appointments will be ongoing until your skin is clear. Such appointments are essential for us to clean out your skin, adjust your homecare regimen and lighten red marks and scarring.  The cost will be $75.00.
  • To achieve 100 % clearance in our program plan on 3-6 months.  Outcomes may vary depending on client’s adherence to the program, product usage, and lifestyle changes.

exfoliating

chemical peels

A chemical peel is an acid form of exfoliation. Different from a Microdermabrasion, which is a mechanical form of exfoliation, a chemical peel utilizes an acid to cause the exfoliation of skin cells. Chemical peels are very popular and according to American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, chemical peels were amongst the top five nonsurgical cosmetic procedures undertaken in 2008.  These days they are even more popular and with their multi-agent formulations offer a more targeted approach to chemical peeling and greater results.

There are several types of chemical peels ranging from light, medium to deep peels. As a Master Esthetician, our licensing allows us to do light to medium depth peels strictly working on the epidermis. The deep skin peels which can penetrate into the dermis are performed by a doctor.

Light chemical peels include alpha hydroxy acids, glycolic, lactic and enzymes. These peels offer a light flaking with slight stinging up to 10 minutes when applied. These chemical peels can help improve sun damage, lighten pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles.

Medium chemical peels include Beta Hydroxy acids – Salicylic acid, Jessner, 7-12% TCAs. Salicylic and Jessner peels are good for oily, acne prone skin, helping clean out congested pores and breakouts. TCA is appropriate for more intense sun damage, pigmentation and deeper line and wrinkles. TCA also can be beneficial for those who have very thick, congested skin.

All these skin peels will definitely have a sting like a bad sunburn lasting up to 10-15 minutes and exfoliation that is more aggressive and lasts at least up to 9 to 12 days.

Chemical Peels we offer:

  • Modified Tca, Lactic, Mandelic Peel:  – 15 minutes-$80
  • Tca Peel for Face: -30 minutes- $300
  • Tca Peel for Face, Neck, and Chest: 45 minutes- $350

microdermabrasion

mechanical exfoliation

Microdermabrasion is a form of mechanical exfoliation. A jet of fine crystals is vacuumed across the skin to remove dead and damaged skin cells, refining the texture and color of the skin. We do NOT recommend microdermabrasion treatments for treating acne. Microdermabrasion is mainly performed on the face but can also be done on the chest, neck, arms and hands. This is a nonablative procedure that has little to no downtime. Slight redness may be present following the procedure.

1 session 30 minutes- $80.00

Benefits of microdermabrasion include:

  • exfoliation of dead skin cells
  • enhanced hydration
  • stimulated blood flow
  • better product penetration
  • improvement in skin texture and tone
